Five Finger Death Punch celebrate their 20th anniversary with Best Of Volume 1, a re-recorded collection of their biggest hits, out July 18.
Hard rock titans Five Finger Death Punch are celebrating two decades of devastation with 20 Years of Five Finger Death Punch – Best Of Volume 1, dropping July 18 through Better Noise Music. This anniversary release isn’t just a nostalgia trip – it’s a fierce reclamation of legacy and creative control.
The album features 14 re-recorded versions of fan favourites like The Bleeding, Wrong Side of Heaven, Bad Company and Jekyll and Hyde, along with three previously unreleased live tracks.
Alongside the announcement comes the release of I Refuse, now re-recorded and transformed into a duet with Maria Brink of In This Moment, proving 5FDP still know how to hit where it hurts.
Founding Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory didn’t mince words when addressing the motivation behind the re-recordings. After discovering that their original masters were sold off by their former label without their knowledge, the band took matters into their own hands. “These kinds of behind closed doors deals have become far too common in the music industry,” Bathory said. “But life is a chess game. When this happened to Taylor Swift, she re-recorded her catalogue. We have one of the most hardcore and loyal fanbases on the planet, so I know our fans will do the same.”
Rather than remix or remaster old material, Five Finger Death Punch went full throttle and rebuilt the songs from the ground up. The result is a 2025 edition that doesn’t just pay tribute to their roots, but pushes their sound forward with renewed power.
