Brent Hinds Confirms He Was Kicked From Mastodon In Rant: “Never met three people that were so full of themselves”

Brent Hinds has taken to Instagram to trash his former Mastodon bandmates yet again, writing: “I’ve never met three people that were so full of themselves.”

Brent Hinds, the former Mastodon guitarist, has once again badmouthed his former bandmates this week, and seems to have confirmed that he was kicked from the group.

Many an eyebrow was raised when the heavy metal group announced in March that its founding member and co-vocalist, Brent Hinds, would leave the band. In their statement, the band said that the split was amicable.

However, only a few months later, this story would be contradicted by Hinds himself. The guitarist would share on Instagram that he wouldn’t “miss being in a sh*t band with horrible human beings”. And it looks like time hasn’t healed any wounds, as Hinds, yet again, has taken to the social media platform to trash his former band unprompted.

The guitarist would surprisingly comment on a post from @hardrockfiles, which shared a Mastodon concert clip from 2012 in Maryland. The guitarist would write:

“My Guitar sounds great, but Troy and prawn sound absolutely horrible ..they are way out of key ..embarrassing and they kicked me out of the band for embarrassing them for being who I am ..but what about who they are? They are two people that can’t sing..together live or anywhere else in the world ..everything they try to sing in the studio is manipulated by autotune because they’re incapable of singing in key..f*ck these guys ..only I know who they really are ..they are the biggest fans of them self’s .. I’ve never seen anyone in my life look in the mirror more than Troy Sanders. He thinks he’s God’s gift to anything. I’ve never met three people that were so full of themselves. It’s disgusting.”

A generational crash-out if I’ve ever seen one. Hinds would follow up in a later comment, writing, “Not saying I can sing tho.” You can see the video and interaction below.
