Nintendo has surprise announced that a Kirby Air Raiders Nintendo Direct will be happening later tonight, giving us a 45-minute-long look at the upcoming game.
Nintendo has announced via the Nintendo Today app that a Nintendo Direct will take place later tonight. The showcase will entirely focus on the brand new Kirby Air Raiders game and will last 45 minutes.
Kirby Air Raiders was announced four months ago during the company’s April Nintendo Direct. The game is actually a long-awaited sequel to the beloved GameCube original, which was released 20 years ago. If you’re unfamiliar with the title, it’s essentially a brand-new Kirby-themed racing game, featuring characters from the franchise.
That’s not the only Kirby content we’re getting this year, though. Nintendo has also announced that Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade, and a new story called Star Crossed-World, offering more hours of playable content. This story will also add changes to the world from the base game. So, if you’ve been itching for an excuse to replay the title, this is your sign.
Where to watch the Kirby Air Raiders Direct
The Kirby Air Riders Direct is taking place on Tuesday night at the times below.
- 11 pm AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
- 10:30 pm ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
- 9 pm AWST (Perth)
You can watch along on YouTube on the official Nintendo of America YouTube account.
Kirby Air Riders is set to release later this year for the Nintendo Switch 2 and is being developed by Super Smash Bros Director Sakurai.
Is it interesting that Nintendo are planning to release two themed racing games in a single year as one of a few limited titles for its new console? Maybe! But that’s what the Direct will hopefully clarify later tonight by showing what will make Kirby Air Raiders unique.
