Post Heaven Sign To Greyscale Records, Announce New EP, And Drop New Single

Share

Post Heaven have been busy: signing to Greyscale Records, announcing their EP The Space That’s In Between, and dropping their new single ‘Exit Wound’.

Melbourne post-hardcore band Post Heaven have joined the Greyscale Records roster, pairing the announcement with news of their second EP, The Space That’s In Between, set for release on Friday October 3. Alongside the reveal comes their latest single ‘Exit Wound’, complete with a music video.

Described as their most intense track so far, ‘Exit Wound’ merges alternative metal, metallic hardcore and breakbeat electronics into a sound that leans heavier than anything the group has released before.

Thematically, it explores the frustration of falling into repeated patterns of self-destruction, delivered through abrasive vocals, weighty riffs and discordant breakdowns. Drawing on the energy of early 2000s acts like Glassjaw and Poison The Well, the single builds on that lineage while taking it in a new direction.

The band frame ‘Exit Wound’ as the gateway to The Space That’s In Between, a four-track release that stretches beyond post-hardcore to pull in shades of alt-metal, shoegaze, ambient textures and electronica. The result is designed to be a varied but unified listen, highlighting the band’s commitment to avoiding stylistic confines.

Despite only emerging recently, Post Heaven have already made their presence known on the live circuit. Their debut year saw them share stages with Thornhill, Fleshwater, SeeYouSpaceCowboy and Cave In, as well as performing at the first New Bloom Festival in Melbourne with Citizen, Movements and Touché Amoré. In early 2025 they hit regional Victoria with Trophy Eyes, and from Thursday, they’ll join Inertia in supporting Bloom on the Withered Across Australia tour.

With their Greyscale debut, Post Heaven appear set to establish themselves firmly within Australia’s alternative music landscape.

‘Exit Wound’ is out now on all platforms. The Space That’s In Between arrives Friday October 3 via Greyscale Records.
