Borderlands 4 Global Launch Times Revealed

Gearbox has confirmed the global Borderlands 4 launch times for PS5, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 – here’s when you can jump in based on your location.

Gearbox has officially confirmed the global Borderlands 4 launch times, giving players across every platform a clear picture of when they can start looting and shooting their way through the next entry in the series which drops this week.

Borderlands 4 will arrive worldwide on September 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Nintendo Switch 2 owners will need to wait until October 3, but we’ve still got the launch times for players keen to get amongst it on handheld.

Borderlands 4 will launch simultaneously across all regions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players, however, will see some unusual variations depending on their time zone. In regions such as New Zealand, Australia, and Japan, PC players will be able to play later than console users. Meanwhile, players in North America and Europe will gain earlier access on PC compared to consoles. It’s not clear why there’s such a difference, though.

Expectations for Borderlands 4 are high after the mixed reception to 2019’s Borderlands 3. At the time, many players felt the writing fell flat in comparison to previous titles in the franchise.
