Beartooth May Be Teaming Up With Ex-Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish On New Music

Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo has teased that they may be working on new music with Ex-Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish ahead of their North American tour with Bad Omens and PRESIDENT.

Metalcore rockers, Beartooth are gearing up for a massive tour in support of Bad Omens along with the mysterious PRESIDENT, and it’s looking like they’re prepping new material to play while on the road.

Frontman Caleb Shomo teased in an Instagram Story that the singer might be working with Ex-Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish on new music, who has quickly become one of the most in-demand metalcore producers in recent years.

Fish has racked up his producer credits working with the likes of Architects, BABYMETAL, Halsey, Machine and more. Last year, the former Bring Me The Horizon member would produce his first full-length record with Poppy‘s Negative Spaces.

In an interview with NME, Fish described the process of working with Poppy and working on her most recent album.

“Poppy wanted to do big rock songs, which I can do, I guess,” he admitted. “She started off doing this erratic, genre-shifty music… it’s not really my expertise to constantly change tempo. In my mind, she hadn’t really put together a body of work that felt super coherent, so that was the challenge – putting her lyrics and flavour over more conventional song structures. It was a painless process [because] she’s not particularly stressed about what she’s making.

Following the release of her 2024 album, Poppy would team up with Fish once again for the collab track ‘End of You‘, featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante and looks to continue their creative in the near future.

Fish has also been spotted in the studio with Bad Omens and Spiritbox, which could indicate that Fish is racking up his full-length album producer credits, or is continuing his tradition of diving into individual songs.

Regardless, it’ll be interesting to hear what Beartooth cooks up with the revered producer and how both of their unique styles match together.
