Dayseeker are parting ways with longtime guitarist Gino Sgambelluri, calling it a mutual and respectful decision.

Dayseeker have announced that guitarist Gino Sgambelluri is no longer part of the band, revealing that the split was a mutual decision made with “nothing but love and respect.” The news comes just weeks after the release of the band’s latest albumCreature In The Black Night, which dropped on October 24 this year.

In a statement posted to social media, the band wrote:

“We wanted to share that Gino and the band have mutually decided to part ways. This wasn’t an easy decision but there’s truly nothing but love and respect between us.”

They continued by expressing gratitude for Sgambelluri’s years of commitment and creativity within the group:

“Gino has been such an important part of Dayseeker’s journey and we can’t thank him enough for his passion, his kindness and the endless hours he spent dedicating his life to the project.

Please continue to show him nothing but love and support as we all move forward into the next chapters of our lives and careers. Rory, Zac & Ramone.”

Sgambelluri played an integral role in shaping Dayseeker’s evolving sound across their releases. His work contributed to the band’s rise within the modern post-hardcore and alternative scenes, marked by emotionally charged songwriting and cinematic production.

Dayseeker’s newest album, Creature In The Black Night, arrived on October 24 and continues their exploration of grief, growth, and resilience. The band has not yet announced who will fill Sgambelluri’s spot for their upcoming live performances.

For now, both parties appear to be parting on positive terms, with Dayseeker emphasising their appreciation for Sgambelluri’s role in their story and encouraging fans to continue supporting him in whatever comes next.
