Creed Could ‘Start Working’ On New Music Next Year

Creed could start working on new music as soon as the middle of next year, according to guitarist Mark Tremonti.

Creed will “start working” on new music very soon – good news for all the divorced dads and folks who have a divorced dad soul, despite being neither a father nor separated.

Speaking on Cutter’s Rockcast recently, guitarist Mark Tremonti said he is working to get into a studio with vocalist Scott Stapp to record new music – and that’s likely to occur in the “middle of next year.”

Since reuniting for the second time in 2023, Creed have toured, headlined a cruise, and performed at a music festival, but as of yet there’s been no word of new music. Tremonti says that’s due to the hectic schedule that comes with touring, but that doesn’t mean that all hope for new tunes from the band is gone.

“When we did all this touring, we were so busy that there was no way for us to really put stuff, new music together, and the tour was already on sale,” he said. “So to jump off tour to record an album wouldn’t have been the right move.”

“I think promoters and agents and managers are all like, ‘All right, you’ve got to have something, a driver, for the next tour,'” he explained. “You can’t just go out there and do the same thing. So there’s got to be some incredible package you put together or new music.”

The last new material out of the Creed camp was Full Circle in 2009, so it’s been a pretty long time between drinks. While the band have yet to hit the studio, Tremonti’s plans to get together with Stapp most likely in the middle of next year is promising, if you need some new material to shout along to other than ‘One Last Breath.’
