Marilyn Manson Says Next Chapter Of His Comeback Album Is Arriving ‘Very Soon’

Share

Marilyn Manson has hinted that the next instalment of his comeback album is close, marking another step in a return that continues to divide the music world. During a brief update shared with fans, Manson said the second chapter of One Assassination Under God will arrive ‘very soon’, following the release of Chapter 1 in 2024.

The multi chapter project marked his first new music since a wave of allegations in 2021 reshaped the course of his career. More than a dozen women publicly accused him of sexual misconduct and assault, leading to Manson being dropped by his label, management and booking agents. Several lawsuits have moved through the courts since, while others remain ongoing, Manson has denied all allegations.

His release of Chapter 1 last year, paired with a cautious return to touring, was the first sign he intended to re-enter public life. That comeback hasn’t unfolded quietly, two UK shows faced political pushback and organised protests, while a show in Mexico drew a vocal crowd outside the venue.

For supporters, the focus remains on the new music, but for critics, the controversy hasn’t faded.

A Slow, Controlled Rollout

Manson has kept details of Chapter 2 tightly sealed, the first instalment leaned heavily into familiar themes of violence, religious imagery and personal reckoning, the piece by piece rollout appears designed to control the narrative, offering fragments rather than a full album reveal.

His choice to tease the next chapter with only ‘very soon’ speaks to that strategy, keeping momentum going without committing to a release date, and signalling that he intends to continue this new phase despite ongoing scrutiny.

What Comes Next?

No timeline has been announced for the remainder of the project, nor have tour dates beyond the shows already completed this year. The messaging is clear though, Manson isn’t treating Chapter 1 as a one off return. He’s leaning into a gradual rebuild, one that, like everything he releases now, arrives under a spotlight brighter and harsher than ever.
