The All-American Rejects Release New Single ‘Get This’ With Christmas Themed Video

Share

The All-American Rejects have returned with a bright and cheeky new single, ‘Get This’, and the video is already turning heads for its playful nods to some of the most iconic holiday films of all time.

The clip splices together visual references that fans will instantly recognise, flipping classic festive tropes into something warm, nostalgic and just a little self aware.

The song itself leans into the band’s knack for heartfelt pop-rock with a twist, listen closely and you’ll hear a story about longing, reflection and the kind of wishful thinking that creeps in when the year winds down.

The Christmas elements in the video aren’t just cute decoration, they frame the track’s bigger question: is digging up old wounds worth it, or is moving on the real gift?

Sandbox album

The band are gearing up for a massive 2026, with a new album Sandbox set to arrive in spring, pre-orders are already live. If you’ve been waiting for fresh Rejects material since their last run of singles, ‘Get This’ is a promising taste of what’s ahead.

The meaning

In trademark Tyson Ritter fashion, the meaning behind the track comes wrapped in personality.

“Little hooks will sit in your pockets like a lead weight that won’t shake out in the dryer. ‘Get This’ was a song born on a drive. It was made in the sunshine on the back porch of our family home. Pure fun like the company it was written around,” Ritter shared.

The music video was built by an impressive creative crew, spanning director Alexander John, producers at Syndicate Productions, visual artists, VFX specialists and set designers, a full scale team effort that mirrors the song’s sense of joy and play.

‘Get This’ is out now, with fans already dissecting the lyrics and hunting for every movie reference dropped in the video.
