Sevendust have never been a nostalgia act, even three decades deep, they still sound like a band with something to prove and in 2026 they’re not easing off the throttle.
Just one week after announcing their 15th studio album ‘ONE’, the Grammy nominated Atlanta heavyweights have released their first new music of the year: ‘Is This The Real You’.
The track is out now on all major streaming platforms, and it arrives ahead of the album’s release on May 1st via Napalm Records.
Sevendust guitarist John Connolly says (via press release) the new single is as direct a snapshot of the band as you’ll get right now.
“It was as honest, natural, and pure as any song can be. If you really want to know what Sevendust sounds like in 2026, ‘Is This The Real You?’ gives you a good idea,” Sevendust guitarist John Connolly explains.

The band’s classic blend is still front and centre here: big riffs, thick grooves, and that emotional punch that’s kept Sevendust at the top end of rock radio for years.
The current lineup remains unchanged, featuring Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Clint Lowery and John Connolly (guitars), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums).
A new animated music video has also dropped, directed by Paul Ribera (above), it follows a sharply dressed character who can influence people into doing things they normally wouldn’t, pushing each person to confront the parts of themselves they keep hidden.
It’s a fitting visual companion to the track’s central question: “Is this the real you?”
