Poison The Well are finally coming back to Australia, and if you grew up getting your teeth kicked in by early metalcore, this one’s going to hit like muscle memory.
Florida heavyweights Poison The Well have announced an Australian headline tour for June, marking their first local shows since 2009, better yet Boston hardcore crew Haywire will be joining them as special guests, making these dates Haywire’s first ever Australian shows.
The run kicks off Sunday, June 7th in Perth, then tears through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle, before closing out on Sunday, June 14th in Brisbane.
Poison The Well aren’t just a legacy name either, their 1999 debut ‘The Opposite Of December…A Season Of Separation’ didn’t just age well, it basically rewired what heavy music could be. That record helped blueprint modern metalcore, balancing violence and melody in a way that’s still being copied by bands who weren’t even born when it dropped. It’s been rightfully canonised by the likes of Brooklyn Vegan, KERRANG!, Loudwire, and Revolver, because the influence is undeniable.
Poison The Well ‘Peace In Place’
They’re not coming down here just to cash in on nostalgia, 2026 also brings their first new album in 16 years, ‘Peace In Place’, due out March 20th, following the announcement of the single ‘Thoroughbreds’ (below).
Haywire, meanwhile, have been gaining serious momentum in the hardcore world, and they’ll be arriving after touring North America with Dropkick Murphys (Feb/March), then running March/April dates with DRAIN.
