There’s something poetic about Taylor Acorn landing back in Australia just as her album Poster Child cements her as one of pop punk’s most compelling new voices.
Nashville’s Taylor Acorn kicks off her 2026 Australian headline tour this Sunday, March 1st at 170 Russell in Melbourne, before heading to Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney with special guests Arrows In Action.
For Acorn, the road here traces back further than Fearless Records signings or arena support slots, she took us for a journey down her touring memory lane:
The Beginning
“Fun fact: the very first time I ever performed in front of people was back when I was in middle school…” she tells us, reflecting on the seventh-grade talent show that changed everything.
“I remember sitting in front of the whole school singing that song and hearing everybody cheer afterwards, and being like, “oh my gosh, I didn’t know you could sing!”. That was a really cool moment just because I was so shy.”
Music became her way out of that shell. “I was so shy just in general, but music made it easier for me to get my feelings and thoughts across.”
Full Circle With Arrows In Action
This tour feels layered for another reason, her first proper run was alongside This Wild Life, with Arrows In Action opening, and, in a twist, doubling as her backing band when hers fell apart.
“I asked Arrows in Action, I was like, “hey guys, we have Uncomfortably Numb together and I kind of don’t have a band right now…”. And they’re like, “we’ll be your band”.”
Now they’re heading down under together again, only this time, as she laughs, “I do have a band… And I can’t be kicked out this time!”
Casinos And Arenas
Acorn’s road stories swing wildly, from a near riot casino set in Dubuque, “this little casino stage was packed to the brim… it was madness” — to her first arena shows supporting All Time Low.
“To walk out on a stage and see thousands and thousands of people in an arena… I felt like I was in a movie.”
Now, she brings that momentum to Australian stages once more.
