Tom Morello has reshuffled his 2026 tour plans, postponing a run of spring solo shows to join Bruce Springsteen and the E STREET BAND on the ‘Land Of Hope & Dreams American Tour’.
The move follows Morello’s recent appearance alongside Springsteen at a ‘Defend Minnesota’ anti ICE charity concert in Minneapolis last month, that crossover clearly lit a fire. Now, the Rage Against The Machine guitarist is back in the Boss’s orbit for a full stretch of arena dates (per Metal Addicts).
Morello addressed the changes in a statement posted yesterday (February 24, US):
‘After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our ‘Defend Minnesota‘ charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture. Together, Bruce, the E STREET BAND, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us the in the spirit of freedom, justice, and rock n roll. This will necessitate postponing a few of my solo shows in May. I have a deep love and respect for all my friends, fans & comrades and I promise that we will find a way to be together for these shows, in these towns, very soon.’
Several festival appearances have been scrapped entirely, including Welcome To Rockville in Daytona, Sonic Temple in Columbus, and BottleRock Napa Valley. A handful of headline shows have been postponed, with tickets remaining valid, including Fort Lauderdale (May 9), Tampa (May 10), Atlanta (May 12), Nashville (May 13), and Milwaukee (May 15).
Statement
Love him or argue with him, Morello has never separated riffs from politics, linking up with Springsteen again feels less like a guest spot and more like a statement.
For Australian fans, there’s no local impact yet, but when two of rock’s most outspoken figures double down on a shared stage, it’s worth watching.
