Creed III star Jonathan Majors is currently filming his first movie in four years following his assault conviction.
Torpedoed your career? Disgraced by a horrible scandal? Can’t show your face in polite society anymore? Never fear, former star, there’s a place that you can go where none of that matters, and that place is The Daily Wire, the right wing media company of squeaky-voiced political provocateur Ben Shapiro.
Disgraced actor Jonathan Majors has head the call. Once tipped as the next big thing, Majors’ career imploded in spectacular fashion when he was convicted of assaulting his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in December 2023. Majors was fired from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, lost various endorsement deals, and had his next film, the hotly anticipated Magazine Dreams, dropped by distributor Disney. Although Magazine Dreams eventually saw a limited release in 2025, Majors has not appeared in a film or series since.
But all that is about the change with the news that Majors will star in an as-yet-untitled action movie written and directed by Kyle Rankin (Run Hide Fight, The Battle Of Shaker Heights) that started production in South Carolina this week. As per Deadline, who broke the story, the film is inspired by ’80s flicks such as Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers (both bangers, by the way). It’s being described as “Anti-woke”, if that does anything for you.
As noted, the film is being produced by The Daily Wire along with Bonfire Legend, which is where you go when you’ve got no place else to go. The production houses have a history of employing the unemployable, producing the Gina Carano western Terror On The Prairie in 2022 (box office: $13,115) and casting suspected cannibal Armie Hammer in another western, Frontier Crucible, last year. The Daily Wire’s highest grossing film to date is the “documentary” Am I Racist? featuring conservative vomit fountain Matt Walsh, which took in $12.3m.
Looks like Majors is in good company! We can definitely smell a comeback.
