JD Fortune is heading back to Australia in October, bringing ‘The Best Of INXS’ tour to stages across the country.
After a strong response to last years debut Australian run, the former INXS frontman is returning with his band for another round of arena sized hooks and unmistakable riffs.
The set will be stacked with hits, ‘Need You Tonight’, ‘Never Tear Us Apart’, ‘New Sensation’, ‘Mystify’, ‘Devil Inside’, ‘Don’t Change’, ‘Suicide Blonde’ and ‘Original Sin’, alongside ‘Pretty Vegas’ and ‘Devil’s Party’, the tracks Fortune co-wrote during his tenure in the band.

From Superfan To Frontman
Fortune famously grew up idolising Michael Hutchence, once telling Rolling Stone he “wanted to be Michael Hutchence, he was just so damn cool.” In 2005, that obsession turned surreal when he won reality series Rock Star: INXS, stepping into one of the most scrutinised roles in Australian rock.
He fronted INXS from 2005 to 2011 and recorded their final studio album, ‘Switch’. Fortune‘s version of the band remains divisive in some corners, but there’s no denying the catalogue still hits hard when played live.
Recent Australian reviews described the shows as “dynamic” and emotionally charged, with crowds reportedly loud enough to shake venue walls (per press release).
Whatever your stance on post-Hutchence INXS, the appetite for these songs clearly hasn’t faded.
