Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day is still keeping things mysterious, but it’s starting to take shape.
The marketing campaign for Disclosure Day, the upcoming sci-fi epic from living legend Steven Spielberg, has been playing up the mystery something fierce. Something of profound importance is about to be revealed to the world – we know that. It’ll probably lead to massive panic. It’s probably aliens. Emily Blunt plays a weather presenter. That’s what we got.
But this new trailer makes me think that if it does turn out to be aliens (and it probably will) then they’ve been here for a while, hiding among humanity. Which means this may be covering similarly territory to John Carpenter’s magisterial They Live, except super-serious. Which is actually pretty funny.

What’s the vibe?
While a new Steven Spielberg film isn’t the massive event it used to be, a new Steven Spielberg science fiction film ought to have you sitting up in your seat a little. Might be time to start dropping a few more story details, though.
