The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is, of course, already streaming on Disney+, with four of eight episodes already up. Marvel really want you to catch that back four, though, so here’s another trailer for DD, in which we get Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones joining the fray, Matt Murdock getting unmasked, the Kingpin being King of the Ring, and all manner of hyperviolent fun. And speaking of hyperviolence, we also get a quick glimpse of a beardy Jon Bernthal in his Punisher regalia from the upcoming one shot landing on May 12 – a week after the final episode of Born Again, which is convenient.

What’s the plot?
As you may recall from last season, our man Matt Murdock briefly retired from vigilantism following the murder of his best bud and business partner, Foggy Nelson, was murdered. But he soon got the horns again when his old arch-enemy, Wilson Fisk, got himself elected mayor of New York City, which seems… of the moment. We wrapped up with New York under martial law and Daredevil on the run.
Now, as for Season 2, as the official synopsis tells us:
Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But, beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

- Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, a therapist and Matt’s new love interest.
- Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, former reporter and Murdock’s friend and partner at the Nelson, Murdock & Page.
- Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, although probably in flashbacks given he was killed in the first season. But nobody stays dead forever in comics…
- Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, AKA Bullseye, former FBI agent turned psychotic assassin.
- Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera, Fisk’s mayoral campaign director.
- Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Murdock’s new law partner at the law firm Murdock & McDuffie.
- Genneya Walton as BB Urich, a journalist and the niece of Ben Urich, who was killed by Fisk.

What’s the vibe?
Personally, I don’t think it sticks the landing (no spoilers here, pump your brakes) but the rest of it is absolutely killer bee.
