Offset Hospitalised After Shooting In Florida, Condition Stable

Share

Offset has been hospitalised after being shot in Florida, with authorities confirming the incident took place outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood on Monday evening.

The Migos rapper is currently in stable condition, according to his team, after being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment (per Digital Music News).

Incident unfolds outside casino

Details are still emerging, but police confirmed the shooting occurred shortly after 7pm in a valet area outside the venue.

A spokesperson for Offset stated: “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”

Law enforcement were quick to respond, containing the situation and detaining two individuals at the scene.

Authorities added: “Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly… Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing.”

Officials also confirmed the injuries were non life threatening, and that there is no ongoing risk to the public.

A career shaped by highs and loss

Offset, born Kiari Cephus, rose to prominence as one third of Migos alongside Quavo and Takeoff, helping define a generation of hip-hop over the past decade and a half.

The shooting lands against the backdrop of personal loss that still hangs over his story. In 2022, Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston at just 28, a moment Offset later described as something that didn’t feel real.

“I get through my day thinking it’s fake, and I don’t say nothing to nobody about it.”

Ongoing investigation

At this stage, police have not released further details on what led to the shooting or whether charges will be laid, Offset remains under medical supervision as the investigation continues.

For now, the focus sits on recovery, with more information expected to surface as authorities piece together what happened.
