Hellions Return With ‘Fear Flow’ And kick off ‘Opera Oblivia’ Anniversary Tour

Share

Hellions are back and they’re not easing into it.

Sydney heavyweights Hellions have released ‘Fear Flow’, their first new track in almost eight years, just days before launching the ‘Opera Oblivia’ 10 year anniversary tour across Australia, it’s loud, sharp, and over before you can catch your breath.

Hellions Unleash ‘Fear Flow’

Clocking in at two minutes and 44 seconds, ‘Fear Flow’ leans hard into their rap-inflected cadence, lacing it with industrial textures that nod more toward The Prodigy than traditional post-hardcore.

The hook lands like a punch to the chest: ‘Let it flow through me like BOOM!’

“We’re happy to be back playing some rock and roll. It was an honour to work alongside long time friend and producer, Shane Edwards on the rebirth of Hellions. It’s surreal having new music out there, we can’t wait to play it live on the Opera Oblivia Anniversary tour. This isn’t a nostalgia run… this is new energy.”

There’s a bigger idea driving it too, beneath the noise, ‘Fear Flow’ pushes into themes of ego death and breaking out of fear driven systems, it feels like a reset.

‘Opera Oblivia’ returns to the stage

Hellions are about to drag ‘Opera Oblivia’ back into the spotlight, performing the record in full across the country, the 2016 album didn’t just land, it rewired expectations. Debuting at #4 on the ARIA Charts, it cemented the band as one of Australia’s most ambitious heavy acts, tracks like ‘Quality of Life’ and ‘Thresher’ still hit with the same theatrical weight nearly a decade on.

This run celebrates that legacy, but the band are clearly drawing a line forward, not backwards.
