The Rolling Stones are embracing the future by revisiting their past.
The legendary rock icons have released the surreal new video for “In The Stars”, the lead single from their upcoming album Foreign Tongues, using AI-powered deepfake technology to digitally rewind the band to their early 1970s prime.
Directed by longtime collaborator Francois Rousselet, the clip sees de-aged versions of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood navigating a chaotic warehouse party that bends time, reality and more than a few expectations.
The eye catching visual was created with help from Deep Voodoo, the AI driven deepfake company founded by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (of South Park fame).

Odessa A’zion out there cameo
In maybe the most unexpected visual moment of the clip, actress Odessa A’zion literally licks Jagger’s face.
“Are you kidding me? It’s my dream,” A’zion said of the cameo.
“The first record that I ever got that I listened to from start to finish was Tattoo You. I’m obsessed with the Rolling Stones. This is in my bucket list for sure.” (Per Spin Magazine)
Deep Voodoo previously made waves with its digital transformation work on Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” and also helped de-age Billy Joel for his 2024 comeback visual “Turn the Lights Back On.”
The release also gives fans another taste of Foreign Tongues, due out July 10th, which reunites the Stones with producer Andrew Watt following the success of 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.
The new record boasts an all star guest list including Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith, if In The Stars is any indication, the Stones aren’t interested in nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake, they’re weaponising it.
At 80 plus, they’re still finding fresh ways to keep rock’n’roll gloriously on point.
