The (practical) action is the juice in this peek behind the scenes of Spider-Man: Brand New Day
This is some of the bet action we’ve had in any of these movies,” the always charming Tom Holland intones at the top of this new behind the scenes featurette. Well, you’d hope so, with Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher making his big screen debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Judging by what we’ve seen so far, grumpy ol’ murder maestro Frank Castle and and everyone’s fave webslinger will be taking on a but million undead ninjas courtesy of The Hand, the shadowy syndicate that’s given Daredevil so much trouble over the years.
Other than that, we get to see Tom (or his stuntman) get flung around on wires a bit, as the clip underscores that we’ll be getting a lot of practical action and effects when Spidey hits the big screen once more in the very near future.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Practical Production Featurette
What’s the plot?
As the official synopsis tells us:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
