In This Moment have officially launched their next era, unveiling the crushing new single ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ alongside an intense new music video.
Released via Better Noise Music, the track marks another dramatic evolution for the GRAMMY nominated band, continuing the theatrical heaviness and emotionally charged songwriting that has helped make them one of modern heavy music’s most recognisable acts.

Led by vocalist Maria Brink, In This Moment have spent the last two decades building a unique identity that blends industrial metal, hard rock, cinematic visuals and deeply personal themes into something entirely their own. With more than two billion career streams and multiple platinum and gold certifications behind them, the band continue expanding far beyond traditional heavy music audiences.

‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ follows the release of ‘Heretic’, which featured Kim Dracula, with both songs serving as the first previews of the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, their first release under Better Noise Music.
Speaking about the new material, Brink explained the band are diving headfirst into darker emotional territory on the upcoming record (per press release):
“With ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness — whether it’s inside us or external,” Brink said. “It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”
Over the years, In This Moment have transformed from rising metalcore act into one of heavy music’s most visually ambitious live bands, combining elaborate stage production with massive hooks and emotionally vulnerable lyricism.
Their breakthrough album Blood helped propel the group into the mainstream in 2012, while later releases including Black Widow, Ritual, Mother and GODMODE further cemented their status as festival and arena heavyweights.
The band’s 2023 album GODMODE featured tracks including ‘The Purge’, a cover of Björk’s ‘Army Of Me’, and ‘Damaged’ featuring Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas.
Outside of In This Moment, Brink also recently appeared on Eva Under Fire’s latest single ‘Villainous’ (below):
While details surrounding the band’s new album remain under wraps for now, ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ makes it clear that In This Moment are continuing to evolve without losing the darkness and intensity that made them stand out in the first place.
