South Arcade Lock In First Ever Australian Headline Tour

Share

One of the UK’s fastest rising alternative acts is heading back Down Under, with South Arcade announcing their first ever Australian headline tour this August.

After winning over crowds during their debut Australian appearances at Good Things Festival, Oxford four piece South Arcade will return for three East Coast headline dates, bringing their explosive blend of pop-punk, alternative rock and Y2K inspired nostalgia to local fans.

The tour arrives amid a remarkable rise for the self described pioneers of “Y2KCORE”, who have spent the past year transforming from online buzz band to one of the most talked about names in alternative music.

Earlier this year, SUPERMAN became their biggest streaming debut to date, surpassing 1.5 million Spotify streams shortly after release and further cementing the group’s status as one of alternative music’s most exciting new prospects.

South Arcade have already amassed more than 180 million streams globally while building a social media following exceeding 2.2 million fans, the band’s rapid ascent recently reached another milestone with the announcement of their biggest hometown show yet, a headline performance at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton next February.

With acclaimed EPs PLAY! and 2005, plus fan favourites including FEAR OF HEIGHTS, Supermodels and Drive Myself Home, South Arcade have developed a sound that blends early 2000s pop culture influences with modern alternative rock attitude.
