Rob Zombie Turns The Volume Up With New ‘Tarantula’ Video

Share

Rob Zombie isn’t slowing down.

Fresh off the release of The Great Satan, Rob Zombie‘s first studio album in five years, the shock rock icon has now unveiled the official music video for Tarantula, giving one of the record’s most talked about tracks its own visual spotlight.

Rather than leaning into elaborate horror storytelling this time around, Tarantula strips things back and lets the performance do the work. Bathed almost entirely in harsh yellow tones and carrying a rough, garage floor energy, the clip captures Zombie and his band in full attack mode.

It’s direct, loud and deliberately raw, a reminder that beneath the film references, theatrical worlds and larger than life aesthetics, Zombie has always understood the power of simply putting a band in a room and letting them hit hard.

Since arriving earlier this year, The Great Satan has been positioned as something of a return to Rob Zombie’s dirtier, heavier instincts, reconnecting with the energy that helped establish his signature Hellbilly identity while still sounding unmistakably modern.

The album marked his first full length release since 2021’s The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy and delivered another oversized collection of riff heavy, horror soaked anthems.

Tarantula quickly emerged as an early fan favourite alongside tracks including Punks And Demons, Heathen Days, (I’m a) Rock ‘N’ Roller and The Black Scorpion.

Critical response has followed suit, with praise landing across both rock and metal media as listeners embraced Zombie’s latest creative swing, across music and film, few artists have managed to build a universe as recognisable as Rob Zombie’s, and if Tarantula proves anything, it’s that he’s still finding new ways to keep that world alive.
