Hatebreed Tease Crushing New Single ‘Kill Count Increase’

Share

Hatebreed are wasting no time following the announcement of their upcoming ninth studio album, with the hardcore veterans confirming that brand new single ‘Kill Count Increase’ will arrive on July 21st.

The new Hatebreed teaser surfaced via longtime producer Zeuss’ Instagram, giving fans their first taste of the band’s next era ahead of the album’s release later this year through BLKIIBLK Records (per The PRP).

The new track will be the first fresh music from Hatebreed since the band announced its signing with BLKIIBLK in June, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter following the departure of longtime bassist and key songwriter Chris Beattie in 2024.

The split has since become the subject of an ongoing legal dispute, but the band has continued to push forward with new material and an extensive touring schedule.

Produced by Zeuss

Produced once again by Zeuss, the forthcoming album reunites Hatebreed with the producer who has helped shape much of the band’s signature sound across multiple releases, frontman Jamey Jasta previously described the partnership with BLKIIBLK as a fresh start, promising “crushing new songs” and a new era for the Connecticut heavyweights.

Fans won’t have to wait long to hear at least one of those tracks, Hatebreed are currently leading the first leg of the 2026 Summer Slaughter Tour across North America, with Jasta once again overseeing the long-running festival’s return.

The tour features support from Devourment, Incantation, Snuffed On Sight, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life and Face Yourself on select dates before a second leg launches in August with Terror, Gates To Hell, Torture and Creeping Death joining the lineup.

The band’s relentless touring schedule will continue into November with a European run alongside Life Of Agony, reinforcing why Hatebreed remain one of heavy music’s hardest working live acts more than three decades into their career.

With ‘Kill Count Increase’ set to debut on July 21st and a new album scheduled for release this northern autumn, Hatebreed appear ready to deliver another uncompromising chapter in a catalogue that has become synonymous with modern hardcore and metal.
