Eva Under Fire Return With Powerful New Album Villainous

Eva Under Fire have officially released their highly anticipated sophomore album, Villainous, marking an important new chapter for the Detroit hard rock outfit.

Available now via Better Noise Music, Eva Under Fire‘s 13 track record follows their acclaimed 2022 debut Love, Drugs & Misery and continues to build on the emotionally charged songwriting that has become one of the group’s defining strengths.

Leading the release is My Own Name, a defiant new anthem that arrives alongside a brand new music video, frontwoman Amanda Lyberg says the track is about reclaiming personal power after overcoming adversity.

A message of resilience

“They can call me whatever they want,” Lyberg explains. “I fought my battles and emerged victorious, I reclaimed my own name. I no longer give people a chance and I acknowledge this is a screwed up, unfair world. I will always choose myself.”

That message of resilience runs throughout Villainous, an album shaped by Lyberg’s unique perspective as both a musician and a licensed psychotherapist.

Alongside her work with Eva Under Fire, Lyberg specialises in trauma, grief, addiction recovery and mental health, experiences that continue to influence her songwriting and encourage honest conversations within the band.

The new record also features the title track Villainous, which includes a guest appearance from In This Moment vocalist Maria Brink, the collaboration has already become a major success on US rock radio, giving the band one of its biggest songs to date.
