Wave one is stacked

Leading the charge is legendary Maryland rock outfit Clutch, making their long awaited return to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014.

They’re joined by Australian metalcore heavyweights Alpha Wolf, Swiss deathcore juggernauts Paleface Swiss, and French darksynth mastermind Carpenter Brut, who will transform The Compound into a late night electronic horror spectacle inspired by the legendary Boiler Room.

French experimental metal visionary Igorrr also joins the bill, alongside Canadian punk icons Propagandhi and melodic hardcore favourites Counterparts.

Heavy music veterans Corrosion of Conformity bring more than four decades of sludge, southern rock and hardcore history to Adelaide, while death metal fans can look forward to Death To All, celebrating the music and legacy of Chuck Schuldiner.

Thrash legends Dark Angel, featuring Gene Hoglan, also make the trip alongside Australian party-punk favourites 28 Days.

The local contingent is just as strong, with Adelaide death-thrash outfit Truth Corroded returning to the stage for their first performance in seven years.

Also announced are industrial grind pioneers The Berzerker, Denver hardcore outfit Fox Lake, French electronic artist Sierra Veins, Melbourne alternative rock band Wayside, Western Australian punk act Ratsalad, and Adelaide post-hardcore favourites Raccoon City.

More Than Just A Festival

Beyond the music, Froth & Fury continues its commitment to supporting Australian heavy music through two new initiatives launching in 2027.

New Breed will give aspiring South Australian musicians aged 10 to 18 the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and professional development, while Path To Fury will offer emerging local bands the chance to earn opening slots on the festival’s main stages through a battle of the bands competition.

Applications for both programs are set to open in August.

The Festival Experience

Alongside an already stacked lineup, festival goers can once again expect tattoo artists, expanded market stalls, food trucks, live entertainment and plenty of surprises throughout the day.

With two more lineup announcements still to come, Froth & Fury Fest 2027 is already shaping up to be one of Australia’s must attend heavy music events next summer.
