Hatebreed Return With Fatal Paradox, Unleash Ferocious New Single “Kill Count Increase”

Share

After six years between studio albums, hardcore heavyweights Hatebreed are back with a vengeance.

Grammy nominated metal veterans Hatebreed have officially announced their ninth studio album, Fatal Paradox, due for release on November 6th via their new label home, BLKIIBLK.

To mark the announcement, the Connecticut icons have dropped the lead single, “Kill Count Increase,” delivering exactly the kind of uncompromising aggression fans have come to expect. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Zeuss, the track shows the first glimpse at what promises to be one of the band’s heaviest records yet.

Speaking about the new single, Jasta said:

“Kill Count Increase’ is the lead track on Fatal Paradox and a perfect way of summing up our first album in six years from the start. It’s straightforward, in-your-face Hatebreed. Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later. The room and everyone in it gets wrecked and comes back wanting more.”

Six years in the making

Fatal Paradox follows 2020’s Weight of the False Self and continues Hatebreed’s legacy of blending metallic hardcore with relentless intensity. Across its 11 tracks, the album promises punishing breakdowns, thrash-inspired riffs and the band’s trademark themes of perseverance, resilience and personal strength. Songs including “Total Invincible,” “The Carrion Choir” and “Truth Is A Lion” suggest another uncompromising chapter for a band that has spent nearly three decades defining modern hardcore.

The announcement also marks the beginning of a new era with BLKIIBLK, while reinforcing Hatebreed’s reputation as one of heavy music’s most enduring forces. With more than 1.5 million albums sold in North America and a catalogue that continues to influence generations of hardcore and metal bands, the five-piece remain as relevant as ever.
