Wednesday 13 has shared another preview of his upcoming live album, Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock 2025, releasing the blistering live version of fan favourite ‘I Want You Dead’.
Captured during Wednesday 13‘s performance in front of more than 700,000 festivalgoers at Poland’s legendary Pol’and’Rock Festival, the latest single showcases the horror punk icon at full throttle ahead of the album’s September 25th release through Napalm Records.
Originally appearing on 2005’s Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead, ‘I Want You Dead’ has remained a staple of Wednesday 13’s live performances for two decades, introducing the new release, the frontman reflected on why the song continues to resonate with audiences:
“‘I Want You Dead’ is another classic track and fan favorite from the debut album. This song has remained a staple in our live show and always gets the audience screaming. Over the years many WEDNESDAY 13 song titles have been influenced by movies, bands, and pop culture and this song is no different. The title was a play on Cheap Trick’s ‘I want you to want me’, as if it were written about a graveyard romance. Listen to it now Loud, and Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock!!”
