Pain Of Truth Hit Back Hard With New Single ‘UNFORGIVEN’ And Self-Titled Album Announcement

Long Island hardcore favourites Pain Of Truth have announced their second full-length album, Pain Of Truth, arriving on September 25th via DAZE, alongside the release of its first single, ‘UNFORGIVEN’.

After rapidly becoming one of hardcore’s most talked-about names since forming in 2020, Pain of Truth continue to build momentum with a record that promises to be heavier, sharper and more uncompromising than anything they’ve released before.

Produced by GRAMMY Award winner Will Putney (Body Count, Incendiary, Counterparts), the self-titled album captures the band’s signature blend of old school hardcore aggression with a modern punch.

Leading the charge is ‘UNFORGIVEN’, a track that wastes no time delivering the goods with a breakdown built to ignite the pit, released alongside a performance video filmed by Luis Hernandez and Tyler Bradberry, the single offers an early taste of what’s to come from the 11 track release.

Speaking on the new song, vocalist Michael Brian Smith says:

“I wrote this track to give a sense of hope in horrible times. Using your energy to make a move and turning it into a win.”

The announcement continues a huge run for the New York outfit, who have spent the past several years carving out a reputation through relentless touring and a string of acclaimed releases including an EP, multiple splits and their debut album.

This week sees Pain Of Truth head to California for a run of headline shows before taking the stage at Vans Warped Tour. The band will remain busy throughout the second half of the year with appearances locked in for Bloodaxe Festival in Tokyo, Furnace Fest, Sick New World, Flyover Fest and the returning Vans Warped Tour in Orlando.

With Pain Of Truth, the band look set to push their sound even further, this one could become one of hardcore’s biggest releases of the year.
