Australian metal veterans Frankenbok are wasting no time keeping the momentum rolling.
Fresh from the release of their latest album, The Arriba War Honkle, Frankenbok have returned with a new single, “Casualty,” delivering another dose of the unpredictable heaviness they’ve spent nearly three decades perfecting.
The release follows a strong showing for The Arriba War Honkle, which debuted at No. 5 on the ARIA Australian Artist Chart, marking another milestone in the band’s enduring career.

While “Casualty” hits with Frankenbok’s trademark energy, the track carries a message that goes far beyond its sonic brutality, the song began with guitar and vocal ideas from Aaron Butler after attending a First Aid course, but its meaning quickly evolved into something far more personal.
Rather than focusing on physical trauma, the lyrics explore the emotional toll of constantly giving to others and the damage caused by toxic relationships and emotional exploitation.

The result is a track that balances aggression with introspection, reminding listeners that compassion shouldn’t come at the cost of their own wellbeing.
Fans can experience the new single alongside an accompanying music video (above), while Frankenbok continue taking their latest material to stages around the country. The band’s upcoming appearances include the Segressions 30th Anniversary Show in Canberra on August 1st, Justalice 2026 in regional Victoria this October, and Scorched Earth 2027 early next year.
Since forming in 1997, Frankenbok have carved out one of Australia’s most distinctive careers in heavy music. Never content to sit within a single genre, the band blend alternative rock, punk, funk, groove metal and death metal into a chaotic yet unmistakably recognisable sound.
