Australian music fans won’t need a ticket to Chicago this weekend, with Lollapalooza 2026 set to stream live on Disney+ Australia for the first time.
The four day broadcast, beaming directly from Chicago’s iconic Grant Park, will give Aussie viewers front row access to some of the festival’s biggest performances, including sets from alternative rock legends The Smashing Pumpkins and hardcore favourites Turnstile.
It’s a particularly fitting moment for The Smashing Pumpkins, who return to their hometown festival as one of Chicago’s most influential musical exports, they’ll be joined on the livestream by Turnstile whose explosive rise has made them one of heavy music’s most in demand live acts.
The pair headline a diverse selection of artists confirmed for the broadcast, with performances from Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Clipse and more also expected across the weekend.
An Australian first
For Australian audiences, the livestream marks the first time Disney+ has brought Lollapalooza to local subscribers, continuing the platform’s growing investment in live music events.
Unlike many festival streams, however, there’s one catch: if you miss it live, you miss it completely.
Disney+ has confirmed the performances will not be available on-demand after the festival wraps, meaning fans will need to tune in across the weekend to catch the sets they want to see.
Beyond the live performances, Disney+ is also bringing back Live Set, offering exclusive backstage interviews, artist chats and behind the scenes content throughout the festival. Last year’s coverage featured more than 50 artist interviews, with similar bonus content expected throughout this year’s event.
