Wage War Return To Australia This Week As Final Tickets Begin To Disappear

The wait is almost over.

Florida metalcore heavyweights Wage War officially kick off their long awaited Australian headline tour this week, bringing their crushing It Calls Me By Name world tour to stages around the country.

Joined by Orthodox and Australia’s own Heavensgate, the run begins in Perth before tearing through Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. With Perth, Adelaide and Sydney already on final tickets, and Melbourne and Brisbane selling fast, Australian fans are being urged to lock in their spot before the tour sells out completely.

We recently caught up with vocalist Briton Bond and guitarist Cody Quistad, where one theme kept surfacing above everything else, riffs.

Asked what has remained at the heart of Wage War since day one, Bond didn’t hesitate:

“For me, it’s just big fat riffs. Every time Cody comes up with a sick riff, I’m like, ‘dude, yep! It’s going in’. I think that’s something we’ve always kept.”

Quistad’s response was even shorter:

“Yes, riffs. We will always have riffs.”

That philosophy has helped transform Wage War into one of modern metalcore’s biggest success stories, from topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with MAGNETIC to sharing stages with Slipknot, Parkway Drive and Architects, they’ve steadily built a reputation as one of heavy music’s most explosive live acts.

After standout performances at Knotfest Australia and previous headline appearances, the band returns with even more momentum and a fresh collection of songs ready for the live treatment.
