PRESIDENT hit the campaign trail

Since emerging last year, PRESIDENT have built intrigue through anonymity, stark visuals and a sound sitting somewhere between heavy music, electronics and cinematic atmosphere. Rather than putting individual identities at the centre of the project, the collective have kept the focus firmly on the music and the world surrounding it.

‘BLOOD OF YOUR EMPIRE’ pushes further into that territory, tackling faith, mortality and the contradictions surrounding religion.

‘Blood Of Your Empire was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity’s relationship with faith,’ President says.

‘Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history. This album lives in the tension between those two truths. Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I’ve carried for years, and turn them into something I’m truly proud of.’

The Australian headline dates also arrive after PRESIDENT’s sold-out US tour supporting Bad Omens, another sizeable step for a project that has moved quickly since its arrival last year.

Canberra’s Hands Like Houses will handle support duties across the entire Australian run, with five albums, three Top 10 ARIA records and more than 300 million Spotify streams behind them, they’re a substantial local addition to the bill rather than simply an opening act.
