Alpha Wolf have announced they have mutually parted ways with longtime vocalist Lochie Keogh, bringing his tenure with the Melbourne metalcore outfit to an end.

The band confirmed the news in a statement today, revealing that their upcoming European headline tour has been cancelled alongside all other remaining live appearances scheduled for 2026.

No specific reason has been given for Keogh’s departure, with Alpha Wolf asking fans to respect the privacy of everyone involved while the band works through the transition.

Alpha Wolf confirm Lochie Keogh’s departure

‘Alpha Wolf have mutually parted ways with long time vocalist, Lochie Keogh.

‘We are deeply saddened, but remain hopeful for what the future holds.

‘We ask that you respect Lochie’s privacy, as well as ours during this time.

‘As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming European headline tour and all remaining shows for 2026 while we work through this transition.

‘Thank you for your understanding and continued support.’

Keogh’s departure represents a major change for Alpha Wolf. He joined the band in 2016 and went on to front the group through the period that transformed them from an emerging name in Australian heavy music into an increasingly formidable international presence.

His recorded tenure includes 2019 EP ‘Fault’ and the albums ‘A Quiet Place to Die’ and ‘Half Living Things’, the latter arriving in 2024 and pushing Alpha Wolf further into the international heavy circuit.

The band have spent the years since touring relentlessly at home and overseas, building a reputation around a live show that thrives on blunt-force heaviness and Keogh’s imposing presence at the front of it.

For now, there are considerably more questions than answers.

Alpha Wolf have not announced who will replace Keogh, whether they intend to recruit another permanent vocalist or when they expect to return to the stage. With every remaining 2026 appearance now wiped from the calendar, the band appear to be giving themselves space to figure out exactly what the next version of Alpha Wolf looks like.

Keogh has not issued a separate statement regarding his departure at the time of writing.
