San Francisco pop-punk duo Like Roses have shared details of their long-awaited debut album, After It Ends. The 11-track effort is slated for release on Friday, October 23 via Hopeless Records. It was produced by Los Angeles-based engineer Robbie Gardunio, whose previous credits include Emotional Oranges and Eat Your Heart Out.

To coincide with the album’s announcement, the band have shared the album’s fourth single ‘Holidays’. It follows on from the release of ‘Nowhere’ back in March, followed by ‘Wrist’ in May and ‘Buried’ in July. The new track continues the band’s focus on emotionally-driven pop-punk and alternative rock, with a key focus on the voice of lead vocalist and founding member Amy Schamlkuche. The music video for ‘Holidays’ can be viewed below.

In a press statement, Like Roses – currently composed of Schamlkuche and bassist Kayla Gonzalez – described the album’s thematic centre as “aftermath in some form”. “[It could be] the fallout of a relationship, or the emptiness that follows something really meaningful, or just trying to figure out who you are once a chapter of your life has ended,” they said.

“The most important thing to us was feeling like every song was worth releasing, and not just filling space between singles. We wanted every song to feel emotionally significant.”

After It Ends will mark the band’s first release since the departure of lead guitarist Devin Zamora. The band’s co-founder announced he would be stepping down back in May, shortly after the release of ‘Wrist’. Zamora noted that he still had “so much love for Like Roses, and the people in it [and] behind it”; however, he had decided to step away to focus on both his impending marriage and first-time fatherhood.

“I want more time to focus on self improvement and the people I love back at home,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’m focused on being the best version of myself possible, with some new loud noise ahead to fill my days.”

Like Roses will launch After It Ends with a run of North American shows across late October and early November, followed by a UK and European tour across February and March 2027 as the opening act for Sleeping With Sirens.
