Camp Cope To Release 10-Year Anniversary Reissue Of Self-Titled Debut

Camp Cope have announced plans to reissue their acclaimed self-titled debut album on vinyl this November, commemorating the 10-year anniversary of its release. The anniversary edition is slated for release on Friday, November 27th via Poison City Records nationally, Run for Cover Records in North America, Specialist Subject Records in the UK and Evil Greed in Europe.

In addition to the original album being newly remastered for the release, the double LP will also feature three previously-unreleased bonus tracks: Songs from the album covered by other artists.

Melbourne singer-songwriter Angie McMahon will cover ‘Lost (Season One)’, while the band’s longtime friend and tourmate Jeff Rosenstock will cover ‘Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams’. Most notably, former Modern Baseball frontman Bren Lukens will cover ‘Done’ – marking his first recorded material since 2016.

Camp Cope was originally released in April 2016, and was recorded at the now-defunct Holes & Corners studio in the Melbourne suburb of Southbank by producer Sam Johnson. The album debuted in the top 40 of the ARIA Albums Chart, and was shortlisted for both that year’s Australian Music Prize and for that year’s J Award.

The band went on to issue a further two studio albums, 2018’s How to Socialise and Make Friends and 2022’s Running with the Hurricane, before playing a final run of shows in 2023.

Since splitting, the trio have continued individual pursuits. Frontwoman Georgia Maq has forged a solo career out of Los Angeles, and will tour Australia next month on a co-headlining tour with Ben Lee.

Bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich, meanwhile, recently become a first-time author; this month saw her publish It’s Not for You: Inside the Artists Rewriting the Rules of the Australian Music Scene via Penguin Books. The non-fiction book features interviews with the likes of Amy Taylor and Courtney Barnett, as well as a dozen other key women across Australian music history.

In May 2026, during one of Maq’s solo shows at The Tote in Collingwood, Hellmrich and drummer Sarah Thompson joined her on-stage for an impromptu Camp Cope reunion. The band played five songs together, including several off Camp Cope.
