Periphery Bring ‘A Pale White Dot’ Down Under

Nearly two decades into their existence, Periphery remain one of progressive metal’s great technical curveballs. Misha Mansoor, Jake Bowen, Matt Halpern, Spencer Sotelo and Mark Holcomb have spent their career stretching the limits of the genre, piling crushing rhythmic complexity against huge melodies and atmospheric detours.

That approach continues on ‘A Pale White Dot’, the latest addition to a catalogue that stretches back to their 2010 self titled debut and includes 2023’s brilliantly titled ‘Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre’.

Along the way, Periphery have scored three consecutive Top 25 albums on the Billboard 200, accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance.

Australian audiences will now get to hear this latest chapter in the environment where Periphery’s meticulous studio work tends to become considerably more physical.

Inertia Join The Entire Australian Run

Sydney’s Inertia will open every show, bringing their own increasingly difficult to categorise take on modern metalcore along for the ride.

Following the release of debut album ‘Second Shadow’, Inertia have continued blurring heavy music with dark pop, soul and emo influences.

Pairing them with Periphery makes plenty of sense, neither band appears particularly interested in staying inside the lines drawn around their respective genres.
