DragonForce Announce First Self-Titled Album, Share ‘Hunger Of The Beast’

DragonForce have announced their tenth studio album, and for the first time in their career, they’re putting their own name on it.

DragonForce will arrive on March 19th, 2027 via Napalm Records, marking the band’s first full-length with new frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz and recently announced male vocalist Alessio Garavello, the record was produced by Jens Bogren and recorded across the US, UK, Canada and Sweden.

The first taste is ‘Hunger Of The Beast’, a new single built around the contrasting vocal styles of White-Gluz and Garavello. It arrives alongside a live performance video and offers the first proper indication of what DragonForce’s reshaped lineup will sound like on record.

A different approach

For guitarist and co-founder Herman Li, reaching album number ten hasn’t changed the band’s approach.

“Every time we begin making another album, we just think, ‘Wow – I can’t believe we’re still doing what we love after all these years.’ The approach of the tenth album is as important as the first one, or any of the albums, because the way we look at music is we’re making a piece of art that’s going to be frozen in time,” Li said.

“This is unlike any DragonForce album you’ve ever heard, and unlike any metal albums out there. There’s just nothing like it, and everyone listening will realize that straight away.”

White-Gluz, who joined DragonForce earlier this year, says the combination has given the band another dimension.

“I think this new combo of speed and ferocity is refreshing and exciting. It’s going to be so much fun to perform live.”

Garavello’s arrival was confirmed last week, with longtime vocalist Marc Hudson temporarily stepping back from DragonForce’s music and touring commitments due to an ongoing issue with tinnitus. Hudson remains involved with the band behind the scenes.

The new chapter comes as DragonForce prepare to revisit one of their defining records. Their Inhuman Rampage 20th anniversary North American tour begins in November, with the band set to perform the 2006 album in full alongside previews of the new record. Ensiferum and Rhapsody Of Fire will support the 22 date run.
