LOUD WOMEN Fest Unveils 2026 Australian Line-ups

Share

IRKED, I, Doris, Second Idol, The Maggie Pills and Vipersnatch will play all three cities as the feminist DIY festival adds Brisbane to its Australian run.

LOUD WOMEN Fest has unveiled its 2026 Australian line-ups, bringing the grassroots feminist festival’s punk, hardcore, grunge and alternative rock bills to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this November.

UK acts IRKED and I, Doris will play all three dates alongside Second Idol, The Maggie Pills and Vipersnatch, with different local and interstate bands joining them in each city.

The London-based festival champions women and non-binary musicians, creating opportunities for underrepresented artists and connections between independent music scenes. Proudly trans-inclusive and guided by intersectional feminism, LOUD WOMEN welcomes audiences of all genders.

The run starts at Waywards Ballroom in Gadigal/Sydney on Saturday 21 November, heads to Naarm/Melbourne’s Bergy Bandroom the following day and wraps at The Brightside in Meanjin/Brisbane on Sunday 29 November.

This marks LOUD WOMEN Fest’s third Australian edition, following its Melbourne debut in 2024 and Sydney and Melbourne events last year. The expanded route was announced in March; this latest announcement reveals the three city line-ups.

Each event has been co-curated with musicians from its local scene. Second Idol’s Kate Farquharson has helped build the Sydney festival, while Daddy Issues’ Ebonnie Shea and The Maggie Pills’ Delfi Sorondo have shaped Melbourne’s bill. Vipersnatch’s Riley Doherty and Whoroboros’ Georgia Zemanek-Woodrow are working on Brisbane.

That local involvement gives each stop its own identity. Boudicca and Dvrkworld join the Sydney line-up, Operation Karma and Terra Rouge play Melbourne and Dirty Linen and Lavender Threat appear in Brisbane, with post-punk, riot grrrl, sludge and noise also represented across the Australian program.
