Christmas is about to get bloody again.
The first trailer for Violent Night 2 has officially landed, bringing back David Harbour as cinema’s most brutal Santa Claus for another festive action adventure that’s equal parts Christmas cheer and absolute carnage.
Following the surprise success of 2022’s original film, the sequel reunites Harbour with director Tommy Wirkola and producers Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, the team behind action hits including John Wick, Bullet Train and Nobody.

What’s happening this time around?
Santa faces a fresh challenge after a ruthless crime boss, played by Jared Harris, takes control of the Silver Bell Mall and terrorises its community during the festive season.
But there’s a twist, after losing sight of what Christmas is really about, Santa discovers that his magic is fading just when he needs it most. With time running out and the mall under siege, he’ll need to rediscover his belief in the spirit of the season before taking on an army of heavily armed goons.
Thankfully, he’s not fighting alone, making her franchise debut is Kristen Bell as Mrs. Claus, who steps into the action alongside Santa in what looks set to be one of the sequel’s biggest crowd pleasing moments.
The cast also features Joe Pantoliano, Daniela Melchior, Andrew Bachelor, and AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman, better known to wrestling fans as MJF.
The newly released trailer doubles down on everything audiences loved about the original, outrageous fight scenes, over the top violence, razor sharp comedy and plenty of Christmas themed weaponry. While the sequel clearly embraces its R-rated action roots, it also appears to lean further into the heart beneath all the chaos, putting Santa’s belief in kindness at the centre of the story.
Written once again by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, Violent Night 2 looks poised to deliver another festive dose of explosive holiday mayhem when it arrives exclusively in cinemas on December 4th.
If the trailer is any indication, naughty children (and especially naughty adults), should probably start running.
