In case you hadn’t heard the word, Polaris shook Sydney’s very foundations with a sold-out performance at the Enmore Theatre this past Friday, 28th February and our photographer James O’Connor was at the epicentre.
With all the style and aggression of a tyrannosaurs rex taking a major Metropolis by storm, Polaris unleashed their second album, The Death of Me in a live first for their home-crowd audience with support from Alpha Wolf, Crystal Lake and Wage War.
Not unlike the iconic Soundwave 2008, Polaris’ sold-out Sydney show is sure to down in scene folklore, and not just for the music. After some regressive fools in Polaris merch were spotted harassing members of the LGBTQI community enjoying their night of nights as part of Mardi Gras, Polaris made it clear in no uncertain terms that this behaviour and mentality is simply not tolerated in the Polaris family, or heavy music community.
