Gallery: The Terrys @ 170 Russell Street, Melbourne, – September 5

Fresh off the release of their self-titled album, The Terry’s brought their A-game to Melbourne’s 170 Russell Street (plus a few inflatable fireball bottles).

The Terrys are one of Australia’s finest rock bands to break out into the scene in recent years. Having just released their third album, The Terrys have been roaring through a massive Australian tour, and will be gearing up to visit New Zealand later this month.

Before the band had even stepped onto stage, everyone in attendance was gearing up for a good night, ready to equal the band’s energy and spirit.

Frontman Jacob Finch emerged onto the stage, donning a fur coat and sunglasses. With ease, Finch took control of the tightly packed 170 Russell Crowd, capturing everyone with his breezy charisma as the band took the audience through a tight setlist of some of the band’s greatest hits.

Despite Melbourne undergoing yet another cold, gloomy, rainy night, 170 Russell Street was lit up, the venue oozing warmth, electricity and joy.

If anyone was on the fence as to why The Terrys are quickly becoming one of Australia’s leading acts, any doubt was put to rest by the end of the show.

Following the performance, the band would later share on Instagram, “We don’t want to say it was the best show of the tour but maybe we are saying exactly that. Cannot wait to see you all again and Sydney, you’re up next. Love yous.”
