How & When To Play Battlefield 6’s Early Access Open Beta

Share

Here’s how to get access (and when you can play) Battlefield 6′s Early Access Open Beta.

With the Battlefield 6 open beta about to kick off, EA has offered players one more opportunity to grab early access without paying or signing up weeks in advance.

The Battlefield team announced on X that fans can now unlock early open beta access by watching any Battlefield 6 Twitch stream for 30 minutes between August 7 and 8. This Twitch Drop grants access to the first two days of the beta, which were previously locked behind earlier sign-ups.

“Watch 30 minutes of any creator streaming Battlefield 6 on Twitch during August 7-8 to unlock Open Beta Early Access,” the official account posted.

Previously, players needed to register for Battlefield Labs before July 31, catch streams during Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal on July 31, or be signed up to EA Play Pro. This new Twitch option provides a much easier way to join the early crowd, and you don’t need to keep the stream unmuted or actively watch, really – just have it running.

Once you’ve claimed your code, redemption (instructions here) requires linking your EA account with the platform you’ll be playing on. PC players may prefer Steam since it doesn’t require the EA App to launch the beta.

Here’s the Battlefield 6 open beta schedule:

  • August 7–8: Early access only
  • August 9–10: Open beta
  • August 14–17: Second open beta weekend

All open beta sessions begin at 08:00 UTC, regardless of region. Pre-loading is already available across all platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam, Epic, and EA App). For Aussies, that shakes out to 6pm AEST today (August 7) – so not long to wait until you can drop in.

Early access only applies to August 7 and 8. The second weekend won’t include another exclusive window, so players who miss the Twitch Drop still have a shot to play Battlefield 6 starting August 9.

If you’re planning to play the Battlefield 6 open beta from day one, pre-load now, link your accounts, and set a reminder to catch a Twitch stream – just don’t wait too long.
