‘Death Stranding’ Concert Tour To Kick Off in Sydney This November

Share

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is heading to the stage. The upcoming Strands of Harmony world tour will bring the game’s haunting soundtrack to life, starting with an Australian-exclusive opener in Sydney on November 8.

Announced at SXSW, the tour will feature music from the 2019 original and its upcoming sequel, On The Beach. Produced in collaboration with SOHO Live—the team behind the Stardew Valley concert series—the 19-date tour will visit 12 countries across four continents, wrapping up in Toronto in March 2026.

Australia plays a significant role in Death Stranding 2, with Kojima confirming the inclusion of the quokka, an animal found only in Western Australia. Given the franchise’s themes of isolation and connection, it makes sense for the tour to begin here. Sydney will be the first to experience the orchestral reimagining of Death Stranding’s score, featuring work from Ludvig Forssell, Low Roar, and other contributors.

Kojima’s love of music has always shaped his work. From Low Roar’s ‘I’ll Keep Coming’ setting the tone for Death Stranding’s reveal, to Metal Gear Solid’s cinematic compositions, sound is central to his storytelling. The live show will blend these tracks with high-definition visuals, bringing Sam Porter Bridges’ journey to life in a new way.

“It’s an honour to bring the music of Death Stranding to a live audience,” Forssell said. “This score ranges from intimate ballads and synthwave to orchestral anthems. We’ve arranged each piece to elevate its impact in a full symphonic setting.”

The Australian gaming community has embraced Death Stranding, and the Sydney show will likely set the tone for the rest of the tour. With tickets on sale this Wednesday, fans will soon have the chance to experience Kojima’s vision in a whole new format.
