It’s official. After months of rumours, cryptic lightning bolts flashing across Melbourne’s skyline, and fans hanging on every shred of gossip, AC/DC have finally confirmed they’re bringing their Power Up world tour back home.
For the first time in nearly a decade, AC/DC will shake stadiums across the country between 12 November and 14 December 2025, and they’re not coming alone. Joining them for this monster run are Melbourne’s own Amyl and The Sniffers, bringing their brand of raw, sweaty pub-rock chaos to the biggest stages in the land.
The tour follows a massive run through Europe and the US, where the band sold over 2 million tickets in 24 shows. This is no surprise for a band that’s been delivering bone-rattling rock for over five decades. Promoter Christo Van Egmond summed it up perfectly: “I think we’ve got about five generations of fans in Australia now. Everyone resonates with AC/DC, whether they’re young or old.”
AC/DC 2025 Australian Tour Dates
- Wednesday 12 November – Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Melbourne
- Friday 21 November – Accor Stadium, Sydney
- Sunday 30 November – BP Adelaide Grand Final, Adelaide
- Thursday 4 December – Optus Stadium, Perth
- Sunday 14 December – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
Tickets go on sale Thursday 26 June, with staggered release times. Full details are available at tegvanegmond.com.
On stage, you can expect Angus Young to lead the charge with his signature riff-driven mayhem, alongside Brian Johnson, whose voice has fronted the band since 1980. Stevie Young holds down rhythm guitar, with Chris Chaney on bass and Matt Laug on drums, the line-up that’s been powering AC/DC through their recent world tour.
And in a nod to their iconic legacy, Melbourne’s Lord Mayor has invited the band to recreate their legendary ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll)’ flatbed truck performance down Swanston Street to mark the track’s 50th anniversary next February. Whether they’ll break their long-standing tradition and perform it without Bon Scott remains to be seen but the invitation is on the table.
AC/DC are back. The thunder is rolling in so don’t miss your shot to be part of it.
