Fans have accused Danny Worsnop of deleting critical comments after Asking Alexandria’s Warped Tour performance sparked backlash.
Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop is facing fresh criticism following the band’s divisive Warped Tour set in Washington, DC – this time, for reportedly scrubbing social media of negative comments.
While much of the online reaction to the June 15 performance has focused on Worsnop’s lacklustre delivery, the band’s official Instagram has been flooded with backlash.
Fans described the vocalist as “disinterested” and pointed to the noticeable reliance on backing tracks during the closer, ‘The Final Episode (Let’s Change the Channel)’. However, users have noted a very different tone on Worsnop’s personal page, where the majority of visible comments are positive or neutral.
That contrast hasn’t gone unnoticed. On Reddit, users have speculated that Worsnop is either deleting negative feedback or using Instagram’s keyword filters to automatically hide it. On one post in particular, Worsnop replied to a fan’s praise – but although Instagram displays six replies under the comment, only his is visible, fuelling suspicions that the others were removed.
Some fans have also pointed out that Worsnop doesn’t follow Asking Alexandria or any of his bandmates on Instagram, leading to further questions about his relationship with the band. Worsnop hasn’t publicly addressed the Warped Tour backlash, despite bassist Sam Bettley briefly commenting earlier in the week with a short “I’m sorry” on Instagram.
Whether or not the missing comments are the result of personal moderation or automated filters, the silence from Worsnop hasn’t helped shift the narrative. Many fans are calling for him to speak up, as Asking Alexandria’s Warped Tour set, which was livestreamed and widely shared, continues to draw scrutiny.
