BABYMETAL Announce New Album ‘Metal Forth’ Featuring Poppy, Spiritbox, Tom Morello and More

BABYMETAL have confirmed that their new album Metal Forth will land on 13 June via Capitol Records. It follows 2023’s The Other One and marks their 15th year as a band.

The 10-track record features a long list of collaborators, including Poppy, Spiritbox, Electric Callboy, Tom Morello, Bloodywood, Slaughter To Prevail, and Polyphia. The lead single, ‘From Me To U’ featuring Poppy, drops this Friday, 4 April.

Also included is 2024 single ‘Ratatata’, a chaotic clash of styles with Electric Callboy that pushed the band’s genre-blending even further. Other titles — like ‘Kon! Kon!’, ‘Metal!!’, and ‘KxAxWxAxIxI’ — suggest they’re still leaning into their more eccentric instincts, while drawing in guests who each bring their own version of heavy.

The album arrives as BABYMETAL roll out what they’re calling the ‘Legend Map’ — a full reveal of their 2025 plans. That includes a European tour in May, with Poppy and Bambie Thug joining across 12 shows. The run wraps at London’s O2 Arena on May 30. After that, they’ll head to North America for a 24-date run supported by Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood.

So far, there’s been no mention of an Australian leg, but considering they were just in the country for Knotfest, I think fans will be happy to wait. Plus, given the scale of the album rollout and the warm reactions the band received at the festival, it’s likely just a matter of time.

Last seen at Download Festival 2024, BABYMETAL continue to draw a crowd on both sides of the metal/pop divide. In a recent interview, Su-Metal made it clear they’re not chasing reinvention. “We haven’t changed at all,” she said, reflecting on the band’s 15-year run. “We’ve always been BABYMETAL, the way we are.”

Metal Forth looks set to reflect that — bigger collaborators, sharper production, but the same core formula: catchy hooks, tight choreography, and riffs that sit just left of centre.
