Basement Announce 2025 Australian Headline Shows

Share

UK alt-rock heroes Basement are shortly due back in the country for New Bloom Fest, but now there’s even more to the story. The band have just announced a string of headline shows across the country.

Kicking off on 28 February in Perth, the band will rip through Adelaide, Melbourne, Wollongong, and Newcastle before hitting the main stages at New Bloom Fest in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. If you’ve ever caught them live, you know that something good is coming. Something to the tune of packed rooms and just about enough energy to peel the paint off the walls.

Since forming in 2009, Basement have carved out a cult following with their raw sound. Their breakout track Covet from 2012’s Colourmeinkindness just hit gold status in the U.S., racking up over 160 million Spotify streams—not bad for a band that’s taken more breaks than your average barista. They’ve also sold out iconic venues like the Hollywood Palladium and headlined Outbreak Fest 2024, proving their impact truly only grows stronger with time.

Live, Basement is all killer, no filler. Expect setlists stacked with fan favourites from I Wish I Could Stay Here to Beside Myself, mixed in with newer cuts that will hit you in the feels. Following their Aussie run, the band will head to the UK and Europe to support Knocked Loose, but not before leaving local venues in ruins (metaphorically, of course).

Tickets are on sale now via here. Don’t sleep on this—Melbourne’s already on a low ticket warning for New Bloom Fest, and the sideshows won’t be far behind.
